Sometimes it’s hard to get motivated even if there are really important things that need to get done. And just telling yourself that it’s important to do them is simply not enough!

Here’s three strategies that might help:

• Identify a goal that you will be working towards by doing them.

• Break the tasks up into small bits – sometimes we get a sense of inertia when we face a task that simply feels too big to even make a start on. As each bit gets done

• If your “reason” for not doing it is that you don’t know where to start, just start somewhere. Anywhere. (‘Coz, let’s be really honest here … it usually doesn’t matter where we start.

In the end, putting them off really won’t make them go away – they usually just sit there and create more stress!
