Director’s Profile

Simon has over 25 years experience as a manager, consultant, facilitator and coach. His experience has been gained in senior roles in both the public and private sectors and as a consultant with a major international consulting firm. He has outstanding skills in executive coaching, the management of change and leadership skills development.

Simon has an honours degree in economics and qualifications in workplace training and assessment.

His private sector management roles have included four years as the HR Director of a national manufacturing industry association working with large and small manufacturing businesses and four years as the senior manager in charge of leadership and management development in a major international financial institution.

As a consultant he has worked in a wide range of industries and his clients have included large and small businesses in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, India, Thailand and Hong Kong. He has also had considerable experience working with State, Local and Federal government organisations. He has worked with the ANZ Bank, Telstra, Alcoa, Unocal Oil Company (Indonesia), BHP Steel, Siemens, and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission

He has managed a diverse range of consulting projects with his work including many aspects of organisation development and employee skill development and training. His major consulting assignments have included:

  • Executive coach for partners of a small accounting firm, a general manager and the senior management team of a national supermarket chain, CEO and management team of a national education products supplier, local governments and a dairy foods manufacturer.
  • Development of training strategies and change management programs for manufacturing, mining and service companies and public sector organisations.
  • Team development training for local and state government agencies and manufacturing, mining and service companies in Australia and overseas.
  • Facilitation of team-based simulations with senior management teams from manufacturing and service companies to develop an understanding of improved customer responsiveness and implementation of quick response strategies.

He has also facilitated strategy workshops and conferences for organisations in areas as diverse as telecommunications, banking, mining, packaging manufacturing and superannuation.

In the training field, Simon has also developed and delivered training programs in a broad range of business management, personal effectiveness and sales skills.
